Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to replace the driver's side mirror on your 2006 through 2012 Ford Ranger. It is modeled after the Ranger's original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your ranger right from the factory.It's got the same footprint as the original mirror.

So you're not going to have to worry about doing any sort of drilling, or anything like that. It's going to mount exactly as the original dead, so basically all you have to do is remove the old one, put this one in its place, get it hooked up and you're ready to go. This does have the power remote capability. That's our plug here, so if your original vehicle had the ability to adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle, then this mirror will continue those functions.It will not add those functions, if you don't already have the remote inside the vehicle to adjust that. This is an OE grade product.

So it's going to be the same high quality materials as the original mirror. The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome. So it's going to give you a nice, clear image to see vehicles that are coming up behind you before you change lanes, or as you're backing up to make sure that you're not running into trees, or anything like that.The lens is a flat lens. So it's going to give you a true representation of the object size behind you. You're not going to have to worry about a new sort of warping, or distortion.

It does have the breakaway design, so it's going to fold in on itself. If you we're to run into a post, or the side of your garage, or something like that, that's to help absorb some of that shock and prevent as much damage to the mirror housing as possible, but this is made of a durable plastic housing. So it's going to hold up very well. You're not going to have to worry about it breaking down, or anything.It does have a textured black finish. It's a very fine texture.

You don't really even feel it, but you can see a little bit of that texture in the finished there. Now, for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to be the mirror that you mean, this is going to replace the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual, or when you take off the original driver's side mirror on your Ford Ranger, you see that number, you can trust this is the mirror that's going to work for you.Now, keep in mind, this is just the driver's side mirror. If you we're in some sort of accident and you need both the driver's side and the passenger side, we also have the passenger side available here at etrailer.com. You can find it using the part number that you see on the screen there. This does come with a 90 day warranty.So if you we're to have any problems with it, you could give us a call.
