Guitar Jamming with Korg Gadget via Rosario, the new amp and effect Gadget App on iOS

Korg Gadget was already one of my favorite music production Apps for the iPhone. Over the last week or so they updated the software and added some excellent new Gadgets. One of the new additions is called Rosario, an amp emulatior and guitar effects processor. Before this update, Gadget was solely a Midi based production suite, so this addition of audio based Gadgets had me very interested!

I recorded a few guitar loops and had some fun manipulating the sound. The workflow was fast and it was user-friendly to tweak. While there are several guitar processors already available for the iPhone and iPad, I thought this one sounded quite good, and the fact that it was a free add-on to an already purchased app made it that much sweeter. And personally I find that adding a processed guitar to electronic music seems to fit in the mix a little better than a mic'ed amplifier most of the time. When I lowered the buffer size in the settings for Korg Gadget, I didn't hear any significant lag, which should make integrating this processor into your Main DAW a breeze.
