DIY interior restoration: bringing old leather seats back to life!

Описание: In today’s bonus video, I’m taking on a fun little side quest: restoring the interior of a Volvo 850 T-5R! This car isn’t part of my own fleet, but I couldn’t resist giving its tired interior some much-needed attention. Unlike my usual thursday project-car videos, this one is more of a casual DIY adventure, but still a satisfying transformation from start to finish.

When the car arrived, the seats were not only worn out but had also been repainted in the wrong color, giving the interior a mismatched look. While this isn’t meant to be a flawless, factory-new restoration, the goal was to bring the leather back to a clean, sharp, and presentable state using simple DIY methods you can try at home.

The process I follow in the video is straightforward but effective:
Sanding the leather to smooth out the surface
Degreasing to remove grime, oils, and old dye residue
Applying filler to repair cracks and imperfections
Sanding again for a uniform finish
Dyeing the leather back to the correct color
