Amongst geophysical electromagnetic methods, semi-airborne (SAEM) exploration systems are most suited for providing comparatively detailed 3D images of the subsurface resistivity distribution down to maximum one kilometer depth on regional scales of a few square kilometers. We present results of recent demonstration surveys for both, mineral and groundwater exploration, focusing on the gained experiences and recent improvements of the instrumentation as well as data processing and 3D inversion
algorithms.
