Описание: RC Revenge Pro (Revolt 2 Pro) was released in the year 2000, by Acclaim Cheltenham. It is a port of RC Revenge (PS1), with updated graphics for the PS2. The player controls small remotely controlled vehicles, racing around a variety of themed circuits, using collectables and power-ups to gain an advantage. Time Trials unlock more events and cars, while the championship modes will keep players happy, with four difficulty levels to attain. Lets take a tour of some of the highlights.

RC Revenge Pro plays like a mixture of Super Mario Cart and the Splashdown games. Although difficulty is questionable in some areas, the game is generally on the easy side, and perhaps aimed towards the younger or adolescent generations. It does have some niggling issues and frustrations, mostly encountered when going off the track or getting lost, but with perseverance general progress feels good and rewarding.

Each event is based on a semi-open landscape, where various short-cuts can be found to save time. The route to complete each lap can vary, and laps can be completed optionally with a speedboat or car on some later events. The courses are easy to memorise, and generally good fun; especially considering the lack of player damage, and difficulty in getting the vehicle to flip over. When this happens, pressing Triangle will reset the player back on the track. The music is often jolly in the arcade style, with the sound effects constantly change depending on where we are on the landscape, creating a carefree and sometimes surreal environment.

On the other hand, the game brings nothing new to the genre, and is just a re-gloss of RC Revenge on the PlayStation. Experienced and hardcore racers will quickly beat this game in an afternoon and will probably never return to it. Hence the 3 out of 10 ratings online. While this is no Need For Speed: Underground, or even Downtown Run, on its own merits the game feels fun and enjoyable for newbies, and after-hours multi-player sessions, so I'd give it at least 6.5 or a 7 out of 10.

Bugs: On the first clips of the Bronze cup, the shaded background doesnt fill the high score tables or info boxes completely. This is because I was using an old version of the PCSX2 emulator back then, and each month they release a new version which fixes some game bugs. You might notice the image quality is sharper in the new footage, due to me also upgrading OBS and with better capture settings.
