Deepak critiques Raja Ram Mohan Roy’s 1823 letter dismissing Hindu education as superstitious, advocating European sciences over Sanskrit knowledge. This self-loathing mindset, Deepak argues, haunts Hindus, fostering cultural devaluation, unlike German missionaries who valued Indian manuscripts.

Deepak highlights the 1924 Kohat riots, where Muslims (93% of the population) attacked Hindus (7%) over a poem, leading to looting, rapes, and permanent displacement. He draws parallels with the 1921 Moplah riots and the 2022 Leicester riots, suggesting a recurring pattern of communal violence testing Hindu resilience and administrative response. He criticizes Gandhi’s ineffective response to Kohat and communists’ mischaracterization of Moplah as a peasant rebellion.

The Hindu diaspora, Deepak argues, is complacent due to affluence and fear of confrontation, risking cultural erasure. He identifies two threats:
1. Hindus devalue their culture, seeking Western validation (e.g., Vivekananda’s Ramakrishna Mission strategy).
2. Ideologies aiming to erase Hindu identity, seen in historical riots and modern incidents like Leicester and Bangladesh.

Deepak proposes:
Embrace Hindu identity with pride, as Western scholars value it.
Strengthen community institutions (temples, schools) to support survival, not just worship.
Participate in public life, law, and police to counter institutional takeovers.
Support humanities to articulate Hindu identity, incorporating accurate history into curricula.
Allocate 5–10% of income to community service.
Practice cultural markers (e.g., tilak) to resist assimilation.
