Описание: A Mozambique-flagged LPG tanker, DISHA, carrying 28 Indian crew members, came under attack in Iranian territorial waters, raising fresh concerns over maritime security in the Gulf region. The Indian Embassy in Tehran has confirmed that all Indian nationals on board are safe and said it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities.

According to official information, the vessel reportedly issued a distress call near the Strait of Hormuz after coming under attack. Audio recordings circulating from a public VHF maritime radio channel reportedly captured warnings to a merchant vessel approaching Iranian waters, followed by a distress message from the tanker reporting an attack by "unknown missiles" and seeking immediate assistance.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the region. Just days earlier, the Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) advised ship owners, managers, and recruitment agencies not to deploy Indian seafarers on vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz until further notice due to escalating security risks.
