Christopher Moertel, MD, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, highlights the clinical significance of the Phase IIb ReNeu trial (NCT03962543), which assessed mirdametinib in children and adults with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1)-associated symptomatic inoperable plexiform neurofibroma (PN). Clinically meaningful responses, such as pain management, were observed, especially in adults, who previously had no approved treatments. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
