Great news! Our #SignatureCampaign to bring back #SafeAndSane #Fireworks to the City of Carson, CA was successful!
Unfortunately, instead of just passing another Ordinance to repeal the earlier ordinance this past May that #banned #safeandsanefireworks, our #CarsonCA #CityCouncil voted at tonight's #CityCouncilMeeting to spend roughly $400,000 of our hard earned #taxpayersmoney for this item to have to go to #SpecialElection this coming June 2026.
Moreover, even if (and when) our voters make their voices heard and vote to bring back safe and sane fireworks to Carson, the certification of the #election still wouldn't allow for the sale of said safe & sane fireworks before the 4th of July of 2026, still making 2026's #IndependenceDay similar to the one we had earlier this year - when #IllegalFireworks dominated Carson!
