Описание: Mar Baselios Movement Kuwait, A spiritual and charitable organization under St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Maha Edavaka, Kuwait, started in 1974 in the name of His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Geevarghese II (Third Catholicose) with the objectives of worship, study, and service. By the grace of god almighty, MBM has completed 3 decades of service to the people who are in distress and destitute. The vicar of the Indian Orthodox Syrian Church, Kuwait is the permanent president of this organization. The office bearers and the managing committee of MBM are always being elected during the annual general body meeting every year. At present MBM has almost 300 members and all members are registered members of Indian Orthodox Syrian Church, Kuwait. MBM actively participates, and co-operates in all the church activities and also provides the necessary assistance. The prayer meetings arranged every month, under the leadership of MBM, for the spiritual awakening of its members, have been led by the vicar or the associate vicar. MBM organizes general body meetings presided by the president or vice president almost every month. In these meetings all members have the chance to put in their suggestions and comments. Since 1974, Mar Baselios Movement has been in the main stream of social & charitable activities. In the past 46 years of service, from the time of the formation of this humble movement, MBM have taken care to extend hands to the needy and the poor irrespective of their caste, creed and religion.
