IMITATION technique – SHADOWING in Russian – Lesson 2

Описание: Imitating a Russian native speaker improves your pronunciation and expression faster than any other speaking practice.
How does it work? Each lesson consists of 3 steps:

1. Watch the video and read the text. You just need to understand what I am talking about. Look up some words in a dictionary if you need to. Watch as many times as you need.

2. Here you have pauses after each sentence. You need to copy me 100%: words, stress, pauses, intonation, facial expressions, and gestures.

3. This is the most challenging part – you try to speak WITH me. It might not work from the first time – just try again and again.

By copying a native speaker, you are teaching yourself to communicate in the most natural way!

Слу́шай, вчера́ был тако́й круто́й день! Зна́ешь, что мы де́лали? Мы ходи́ли в кино́ на но́вый фильм. Угада́й, про кого́? Про Дже́ймса Бонда, коне́чно! Я обожа́ю фи́льмы про Дже́ймса Бонда. Ну ты зна́ешь... Так вот, по́мнишь но́вый кинотеа́тр в сосе́днем райо́не? Там огро́мный экра́н! Э́то бы́ло су́пер! Звук, карти́нка, актёры, му́зыка... Всё на вы́сшем у́ровне. Ты обяза́тельно до́лжен сходи́ть то́же!
