As you can see in the video, my 2019 Mazda 3 continues to have problems. This time, I was able to get some footage of how a very small amount of snowfall was too much for the sensors to understand, so they shut off. Is this a big deal? No, but it's further proof of the problematic electronics on the hood.
Where this becomes frustrating is on the highway. When the sensors decide they're overloaded, the cruise control won't work. So, in a case like this, where there's a small amount of snow, I can't use the cruise. And for those of you who may not live in a snowy climate, the snowfall you can see in the video happens nearly every day.
The front of the car was clean and unobstructed. As silly as it is, yes, it was the snow falling from the sky that caused the car to freak out. I've also had this happen due to a) rain b) bright sunlight and c) seemingly no reason at all.
Looking at you, Mazda, to make this right.
