This year national donut day and national rocky road day (I know, 'murica) were one in the same. That inspired the idea to grill donuts and make rocky road ice cream sandwiches out of them. You'll see that with a little bit of care you can turn a plain glazed sweet donut into caramelized perfection.
I once, OK twice, ate a dozen donuts in one sitting to win a bike race and I swore of glazed doughnuts forever. This recipe changed my mind. Who said you can't make dessert on the grill? Take a look!
