Unraveling a hand dyed sock blank by hand; Why bother if I have an automated skein winder?

Описание: I have an electric skein wider that can unravel a double stranded sock blank into two skeins of yarn in minutes. So why do I sometimes do it by hand? Unraveling thse blanks by hand allows you to see the color progression better - and lets me share a pretty picture for a video. Also, smoetimes I don't feel like setting up the skein winder if I'm only going to be winding one thing.
