With great attention to every detail BOND undertook the intricate task of all the planning of their wedding celebrations for their friends, family and loved ones in Crete. The destination was chosen as it was the location of groom's wedding proposal and the homeland of bride’s father. Working closely with the couple, BOND showcased Crete’s highlights, provided the venue selection, took care of the guests’ hospitality and travel planning, designed and oversaw all the decoration and event elements, as well as the organization of the wedding party.
The couple commented that ‘We felt a real connection with the BOND team and had absolute trust in their planning experience and aesthetics. Step by step we collaborated for the 11 months leading up to the wedding, which led to a most impressive outcome that combined tradition, style and refinement’.
The wedding was undeniably cosmopolitan; with guests flying in from the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Mozambique, Tanzania, Brazil and Greece, to congratulate the couple on their union.
The wedding venue, a private villa overlooking the deep blue sea, offered their international friends and family a true image of the natural beauty of Crete. Creating the sensation of a home away from home, the exclusive venue was stylishly decorated in a blush palette of flowers, accented with silvers, whites and candles adding to the sense of elegance and finesse.
For her entrance, the stunning bride adorned in anornate lace dress, was accompanied by her father and brother to the sound of her grandfather singing his own traditional Cretan love songs ‘mantinades’ – on the Cretan lyre. The revelry continued with traditional Cretan dancers taking the stage and encouraging the crowd to join in for a night of dancing all night long under the stars.
The couple cut their decadent two-tier wedding cake whilst impressive fireworks illuminated the night sky.
As with many Cretan wedding festivities, the wedding party ended early the next morning! The happy couple provided truly unforgettable moments and lifelong memories in Crete for their family, friends and loved ones.
