Remote Sensing-based Satellite Imagery processing workflow for mapping and monitoring Drought conditions at Indirasagar Reservoir (the largest in the country) in Madhya Pradesh, India over 4 years (2019 - 2022). While Drought is simply defined as ‘drier than normal conditions’ - Climate Change has prompted the substantial use of satellites for Earth Observation purposes. India is particularly drought-prone – nearly two-thirds of the country is affected by it at the time of publishing this post making the country's vulnerability equivalent to that of sub-Saharan Africa.
