Smoked Beef Ribs 🐮💨🔥
Smoked beef ribs are hands down one of my favorite bites of BBQ! They're similar to brisket in flavor and texture which is why some call them "brisket on a stick". However, they're way easier and quicker to make!
FULL RECIPE ⬇️
INGREDIENTS
Beef plate short ribs
Yellow Mustard
BBQ Rub of choice (I used Rolling Bones BBQ Perpetual Beef on one rack & Lane's BBQ SPG on the other)
1 cup melted ghee
Note(s): Cooking time will vary depending on size of ribs.
DIRECTIONS
1. Trim off the silver skin and excess fat on the beef ribs then pat them dry with a paper towel. Next coat all sides with a thin layer of yellow mustard for a binder. From there, season generously with bbq rub on all sides. Make sure to pat it into the meat.
2. Place the beef ribs on the smoker at 250°F and baste them with melted ghee every hour or so until they are probe tender and reach around 200-205°F internal. (6-8 hours)
3. Once done, add the rest of the melted ghee on top of the beef ribs and wrap them tightly in butcher paper or foil.
4. Let them rest in the oven or an insulated cooler for 1-2 hours before slicing. Alls that's left to do from there is ENJOY! 🙌🏻
