The award-winning Rainforestation Nature Park in Kuranda has three adorable Koala Joeys starting to emerge from their mother’s pouches.

The joey in this video was the second joey to emerge and although he’s slightly timid, he has a fond love of people, forming a wonderful bond with Head Wildlife Keeper Sharni Thomas.

Sharni can be seen in the video giving koala mum Katie a helping hand in her motherhood journey and has taken a hands-on approach to care for the male joey, as Katie has not been adjusting so well.

This June and July (2020) Guests can suggest names online, with the chance of winning a CaPTA Group Annual Pass and a VIP experience at Rainforestation, including an up-close meet and greet with the koala joey itself.
