This vlog is all about our first day exploring Rotorua, New Zealand! 🌿 We woke up at 4am for a road trip from Auckland to Rotorua, and even though it was so cold, we powered through. Gab drove while the rest of us were true passenger princesses 👑. We stopped at Cambridge Z Energy for coffee and snacks before sunrise — and let me tell you, New Zealand’s early morning views are breathtaking. Our first stop was Kuirau Park where Ate Tin and Rislie prepared us breakfast. The geothermal steam (and yes, the smell of sulfur… like rotten eggs 😂) was something to get used to, but it made the whole place so unique.
Next, we visited the beautiful Redwoods Forest — honestly one of the highlights of the trip. Walking through those tall trees felt so peaceful and surreal. Afterwards, we headed to the Skyline Gondola, where my friends surprised me with a birthday cake 🥹💖. We also tried the luge, which was so much fun! The day ended with a cozy dinner as we rested up for Day 2 — which is extra exciting because it’s my first time seeing snow ❄️.
