Irish Ancestors: Church of Ireland records

Описание: For more than three centuries, the Church of Ireland was the Established Church of the Irish state, an arm of government as much as a religious denomination. As a result, its registers of baptisms marriages and burials were public state records and were (mostly) in the Public Record Office when it was destroyed in 1922. Researching those registers and the fragments, abstracts and transcripts that survive can be very confusing. This video, the first of a series on Irish church records, tries to clarify things.
