Desert Smash kicks off its 2026 festivities with the 3rd Annual Celebrity Pickleball Challenge at La Quinta Resort & Club on Monday, March 2, 2026.
Celebrities, athletes and guests took to the courts for an afternoon of pickleball, interviews and courtside moments as Desert Smash Day 1 got underway in the California desert.
Attendees included Gavin Rossdale, Jon Lovitz, Lance Bass, Lily Collins, Mary Steenburgen, Sam Asghari, Ted Danson, Vinnie Brown, Victoria Justice and Yvonne Orji.
Professional athletes and competitors included Nick Kyrgios, Ben Johns, Anna Bright, Brooke Buckner, Federico Staksrud, Tyson McGuffin, Tyra Black, Jarvis Landry, J. D. Martinez and Jewell Loyd, along with influencer Matt James and pro pickleball coach Matt Manasse.
The event was emceed by Nick McCarvel.
The Desert Smash festivities continued on March 3 with celebrity tennis.
