Perfect conditions for topwater smallmouth bass in Northern Lower Michigan! The footage is a remix from a late July session on a 100 yard stretch of water that's usually too deep to wade. AJ is fishing a smaller-sized popper that he tied (a combo of foam and feathers).
The number and size of the smallmouth that AJ lands on this popper over the course of a couple of hours of fishing is ridiculous. A majority of the bass caught are in the mid-teens, and several of the fish were measured at 17 inches. Enjoy and thanks for watching!
