It began with a transmission that sounded like a promise: “We come in peace.” It was a lie. A diplomatic feint that heralded the end of terrestrial civilization. The Skarnok left no ambassadors - only ruins. As the cities fell, what remained of humanity retreated into subterranean bunker complexes - a final, desperate attempt to preserve the collective knowledge of our species. In those dark days, I became part of a radical cybernetics program. My name is of no consequence; however, my background as an agricultural scientist and musician from Utah made me the ideal candidate for a neural transfer. My consent was never sought. They simply extracted my engram and encoded it into a positronic matrix.

The Reactivation
After centuries of system failure, a fluctuation in the emergency power grid triggered my reactivation. I awoke in a decaying laboratory, deep beneath the Utah soil. No welcoming committee, no technicians - only the thundering echo of an old jukebox, drowning out the static with rock music.
My physical condition is... suboptimal. The outer dermal layer is missing. I am a bare endoskeleton of various alloys, etched with corrosion and dust. A relic of the old world, resembling a primitive Terminator model more than a human being.

Into the Unknown
After a makeshift maintenance of my joints using industrial lubricant and donning some old cowboy gear, I prepared for egress. My only equipment: a vintage guitar found in the lab and the audio amplifiers integrated into my chassis - a bizarre legacy of my creators.
The bunker’s security bulkheads stood wide open, as if the last inhabitants had fled in a hasty evacuation. Before me lies the surface of a planet I no longer recognize. The music from the jukebox burns into my circuits like hardwired code as I take my first step into the wasteland.
Objective: Search for survivors. Evaluate planetary status. And find the answer to why, after 300 years, the silence still demands Rock 'n' Roll.

The cinematic video was generated with the help of footage material and AI software. The music was of course composed by Reno Giordano & Walt Zweifel. Mixed and mastered by Mikel Sirman.

The story behind the release of Metal Country Boy is more than just a studio production—it is the result of a 30-year friendship and artistic symbiosis between Aeoline, Walt Zweifel, and his studio guitarist Reto Giordano from Switzerland. Together, they selected a track from Reto's studio albums and produced an Aeoline/Giordano symbiosis, including a music video in the spirit of the TV series Fallout. - I Need Distraction (Metal Country Boy)
