Solo Winter Wild Camping in Strong Winds!! || Tarptent Scarp 1

Back in the Lakes this week for a winter wild camp on Hard Knott. The forecast was for winds of around 65kph but i recorded a gust of 84.6kpm on the summit!! Luckily I found some shelter behind the crags and had a fairly peaceful night! I think the Tarptent Scarp 1 could have handled the winds but I opted for shelter and a good night's sleep instead!
Before heading up on to the wainwright I had a quick wonder around the Roman Fortress that sits towards the bottom of Hard Knott Pass and it was fantastic! Unreal to think that it was once a thriving hub of roman activity!
I also give you another look at the instinct backpack tech and trek sling as I've found this to be an invaluable bit of kit for my wild camping trips.
