This is a quick tutorial on how to catch Mew on Pokemon Fire red: Make sure you do not talk to anyone in between talking to the man on the video and catching Mew. Also make sure you fly directly from Cerulean to Palet and nowhere in between. It does not matter what you do or where you fly from before talking to the man. This can be done after getting all 8 gym badges but the league does not have to be completed. The chances of running into Mew in the grass is still only about 5%, (I cut part of the video), So it might still take a few tries as you need to restart the whole process if you run into the wrong Pokemon, Those Stupid Tangela!
This will not work on Pokemon Leaf Green: there is a slightly different method, Instead of talking to the man, Talk to the boy outside the cerulean gym and then do the same as fire red.
