Описание: We discuss the popular initiative to transition to digital engineering (DE), an integrated digital approach that uses authoritative sources of data and models as a continuum across disciplines to support lifecycle activities from concept through disposal. Motivated by several case studies, we highlight several key concepts to realize this vision, including digital threads, digital twins, and model-based systems engineering. Expected benefits and tips are also discussed.
