This small 7x10 cm canvas began with an experiment in tape resist. I applied pieces of masking tape in random shapes and sizes, then washed over them with watercolors in blue and purple. The real magic happened when the tape was peeled away, revealing a conversation of forms.
To me, the contrast between the soft, flowing lines and circles against the sharp, aggressive angles of the triangles mirrors the eternal coexistence of opposites in life—beauty and roughness, good and bad, lightness and shadow. They define each other. The white lines added later are another layer of dialogue on these rich, dark grounds.
