I'm sharpening a mixture of old colored pencils, sorting them by color and testing them on paper. I find pencil sharpening calming and when it's colored pencils, the pencil shavings look pretty, too.

I also found while filming this that watercolor pencils are less saturated and break more easily than normal colored pencils. I'm not sure if that's generally true, or if it just happened to be true for the brands of pencils I have.

0:00 I'm starting by sharpening a caseful of old colored pencils from my childhood. I'm opening the pencil case, taking out the colored pencils one by one and sharpening them.
4:25 When the tip of the pencil breaks inside the sharpener, I remove it and empty out the sharpener into a little trash can to show you the colorful pencil shavings.
17:43 I'm finished with sharpening the last colored pencil of this bunch and I'm organizing the pencils by color before placing them back inside the pencil case. The Sweet Valley High pencil case is a blast from the past, but I loved the zipper sounds.

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a euphoric experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine, precipitating relaxation. ASMR is most commonly triggered by specific acoustic and visual stimuli including the content of some digital videos.

If you have problems falling asleep, watching ASMR videos might help you fall asleep. Or if you feel stressed, they could help you calm down and relax. For some people ASMR is triggered by ambient sounds and watching people work quietly.
