The Year is 1996 July 2. During a calm night shift at the radio observatory run S.E.T.I. (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) one of the scientists exited jumped at the phone to call his colleagues and superiors because they have discovered a strong extraterrestrial signal. The undeniable proof that aliens are real. But to their horror, the researchers also discover that the spacecraft is coming towards them. And it’s already close, just a few thousand miles past the moon’s orbit. No need to panic they could be benign but if they are not, humanity can barely hope to survive this encounter with this superior species from the dankness of space.
The soundscape is mostly made from ambient sounds taken from the original sci-fi thriller movie Independence Day like the iconic alien signal sounds. The backdrop is made from vintage computers humming as well as the buzzing white noise of fluorescent lights.
