Tears Run Rings was released in August 1988, just ahead of its parent album The Stars We Are. It was Almond's only solo single to peak inside the US Billboard Hot 100.
This video has been uploaded to this channel because Bruce Nockles mimes trumpet in it. He played trumpet for Strawberry Switchblade and refers to this track in his interview for the Strawberry Switchblade fansite.

The trumpet on the track was actually played by Enrico Tomasso. For the video they wanted two tall trumpet players so they got Bruce Nockles and John Eacott to mime Enrico’s parts!
