The basic question the new spiritualist worldview asks and answers is, “Why can’t we all just get along?” Jeff shares four underlying assumptions of this worldview and gives examples of each in modern media: (1) Everything is spiritual. (2) God is within everything. (3) Life is about the search for higher consciousness. (4) Higher consciousness brings the unity that solves the world’s problems. Jeff goes on to unpack ten beliefs of this particular worldview: pantheism, non-naturalism, moral relativism, cosmic evolution, higher consciousness, non-traditional family, self-law, self-government, universal enlightened production, and evolutionary Godhood.
