We'll walk you through what a nuc colony is, why it's a popular choice, and the step-by-step process to grow it into a thriving full-size hive. From preparing your equipment and safely transporting your nuc, to monitoring your bees and ensuring their growth, we've got all the tips you need.

A Nuc colony is a great way to inexpensively start your budding bee hive colony. About 1/2 the size of a normal bee box, a Nuc allows you to learn about growing the colony from a single queen, a small stable of nurse bees and the formation of the brood colony. This is what you will use to 'level-up' and grow into full sized hives with multiple levels.
