I’m excited to share my 7th Semester Final Year Project, which is now ~90% complete with all core functionalities implemented. Alhamdulillah! 🙌
🔧 Project Overview
This solution leverages Spring Boot for the backend and Solidity smart contracts deployed on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet, ensuring immutability and trust in degree verification.
🛠 Key Features:
Integration with HEC Stamped Degrees: The system builds on HEC’s official digital stamping process.
IPFS Integration: Degree documents are uploaded via Pinata, and the IPFS hash is anchored on the blockchain.
QR Code Verification: Each degree request generates a unique QR code for public verification through a dedicated portal.
Transparent Verification Flow: Scanning the QR code fetches the original degree from IPFS along with blockchain transaction data (transaction hash & block number).
Secure & Scalable: JWT-based, role-based authentication for Students, Universities, HEC, and Verifiers.
💡 Design Focus:
The system is designed to be production-oriented, avoiding unnecessary hardcoding, and following clean backend practices.
Note: Some deployment configurations still require manual handling, so the demo video might show minor limitations, even though the backend logic is fully implemented.
This project demonstrates how blockchain and IPFS can make academic verification more transparent, secure, and easily accessible.
