Ingredients
1. Mung bean 3/4 Cup (About 150g)
2. Turmeric powder 1/4 Tsp
3. Salt 3/4 Tsp - 1 Tsp
4. Water 300ml
5. Grated coconut 1/2 Cup
6. Cumin 3/4 Tsp
7. Garlic 5-6 cloves
8. Green chilli 3 pcs
9. Water 70ml
10. Ghee 1 Tsp
11. Curry leaves
Cooking method
1. Roast Mung bean in an uruli/heavy bottom pan
2. Remove from heat as it turns golden brown
3. Rinse and drain, then transfer it into a pressure cooker
4. Add Turmeric powder, Salt and Water
5. Close the lid and pressure cook for 4 Whistles, then leave it for natural release
6. Into a chutney jar, add Grated coconut, Cumin, Garlic, Green chilli and Water
7. Grind it into a fine paste
8. If the pressure is released, open the pressure cooker
9. Make sure that the dal is cooked and turned soft. Mash the dal
10. Transfer the cooked dal into the uruli/pan
11. Add the coconut paste with necessary water
12. Cook on medium heat. Stir and let the ingredients combine well.
13. Add salt to taste and mix well
14. Stir occasionally and cook for 5-6 minutes
15. Turn off the heat and add 1 Tsp Ghee.
16. Add Curry leaves and mix well
