Pakistan has successfully launched its electro-optical satellite EO-3 into space. According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the satellite was launched from Tiangong Satellite Launch Center in China.

ISPR stated that the launch of the locally developed EO-3 satellite marks another significant milestone and reflects Pakistan’s journey toward self-reliance and advanced technological capability.

The EO-3 satellite will provide high-resolution imaging data for urban planning and disaster management. It will also support food security and environmental monitoring through advanced imaging capabilities.

According to ISPR, the success of EO-3 will lay the foundation for an integrated Earth observation system. The satellite is expected to contribute to fulfilling national priorities across multiple sectors and support sustainable socio-economic development.

The successful launch was also announced by SUPARCO, highlighting it as a historic achievement.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister appreciated the professional expertise and dedication of SUPARCO’s engineers and scientists, and also acknowledged the continued support of Pakistan’s long-standing partner, China, in the field of space technology.
