Thanks for finding the breaking point of the SUJDC. Your setup did put the Garmin a bit too far away from the center of gravity for the mount. Think of a torque wrench. With the added Gopro adapter (which was never intended) on the SUJ it put the critical load on the mount.
You're right you should put the unit up top with minimal distance between the cam and helmet.
Please make your review public because we need to be up front about the limits of our products. In future we will not suggest that this be the way to do it. Thanks again for the feedback.
