न्यूयॉर्क में आरएसएस प्रमुख मोहन भागवत के विविधता, एकता और इंसानियत को लेकर दिए गए बयान पर देश में सियासी बहस तेज हो गई है। भागवत ने कहा कि विविधता हमारी एकता का आभूषण है और हिंदू विचार में किसी को बाहर करने की जगह नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत में सभी धर्मों के लोग मिलजुलकर रहते हैं और धर्म अलग हो सकते हैं, लेकिन इंसानियत एक है।

भागवत के बयान पर कांग्रेस नेता राशिद अल्वी ने सवाल उठाते हुए कहा कि अमेरिका जाकर ऐसा बयान देने की क्या जरूरत थी। वहीं, शिवसेना (UBT) नेता संजय राउत ने कहा कि इस तरह का बयान अमेरिका के बजाय भारत में दिया जाना चाहिए था।
