CHARLOTTE TIBANE’S BAIL BID DELAYED AS COURT ORDERS PROFILING

Polokwane Magistrate Geoffrey Netshiozwi addressed the couple during proceedings on Friday as they face four counts of fraud and money laundering.

The magistrate said Tibane’s responsibility as a primary caregiver was not enough on its own to establish an urgent basis for bail. The court also heard that the couple’s twin boys could be placed with social welfare if no family member is available to care for them.

The court granted the State’s request for a postponement to allow profiling to be conducted.

The matter will resume on 21 August 2026.
