Inside The World’s Largest Sperm Bank, In A Denmark University Town

Описание: There are over 800 sperm donors listed on Cryos International’s website as of August 2022. It’s said to be the world’s largest sperm bank.

At the sperm facility in Aarhus, Denmark, donors have access to a variety of material, including virtual reality experiences that are said to improve sperm quality. Donor selection criteria include their medical history, travel frequency, lifestyle habits and sexual behaviour.

Sperm quality doesn’t decline with freezing. With cold logistics, sperm can be shipped globally and the company does so to over 100 countries.

Emma Groenbaek, who now works at the clinic, was one of those conceived with donor sperm there. She hopes to help dispel taboos surrounding donor sperm conceptions - especially with more of the world now facing infertility issues and falling birth rates.
