This week, Henry Chua, lead bassist of The Quests, swings by our office to chat and plays a When We Were Young set.

In 1961, a group of young Tiong Bahru boys banded together and formed the Quests just for the hell of it. With no formal musical training, Henry and the band picked up various instruments and started doing shows right off the bat.

Best known for their hit song ‘Shanty’, The Quests is testament to how good things will come when passion and talent meets dedicated hustle.

Featuring Bel (Belinda Yeo) as she relives her radio DJ days to explore Singapore’s rich and golden musical era lest these legends live on only in our forgotten history.
