"I think what really attracted people to come to us in Bath and now in London, is that Jane Austen's writing is so powerful and influential to women and feminists, even in this day and age, 250 years later. Her characters, people are inspired by, they can relate to."

"So, of course, it's very popular as just last year we celebrated the 250th year of Jane's birth. And celebrating Jane Austen as a writer and her genius in writing. But also people just love the humour in her work. Comedy comes across often, as you might be saying, really important things but she does it in such a way that inspires so many people."

"Well, I think after the success of Bath, we thought it was only fitting that London had something to celebrate such a famous author. And as she is famous not just in the UK and across the world, we thought, why not bring her to London? As you know, Jane mentions London in quite a lot of her novels. She visited here a lot with her brother, she lived there too, and she used London quite a lot as her inspiration for her novels, especially when she went to the theatre or just day to day life as she walked past. And again, that's reflected in her novels as well."
