Christy shares her journey from years of professional dance and teaching to a season of deep depression and searching. While driving to work one day, she stumbled across Christian radio and began hearing the Word of God in a new way. What started as curiosity turned into surrender. When she gave her life to Christ, everything changed, including the way she viewed dance.

For years, Christy had danced for herself. But God began to reshape her understanding of movement, showing her that dance could become prayer, worship, and proclamation of the gospel.

Out of that calling, Dance for Joy Ministries was born.

What began with a few classes in her home has grown into a thriving ministry serving families across Orange County. Today, the organization trains dancers of all ages to worship God through movement, with classes, outreach programs, and performances designed to proclaim Scripture through dance while creating a safe, joy-filled environment for students.
