1.Measure and Cut the Belt: First, measure the polycord belt length according to the equipment’s requirements. Use a sharp cutter to ensure both ends are cut straight, clean, and at a 90-degree angle.
2.Align and fix: Put both ends of the round belt into the clamp to ensure that the belt is completely aligned, otherwise there will be deviation at the joint, affecting the use effect.
3.Heating and Pressing: Adjust the hot melt machine to 250 degrees, melt the two ends of the round belt fixed on the clamp, the temperature must be within 250 degrees, otherwise it will affect the physical properties of the polyurethane, the time is usually between 10s and 30s.
4.Hold and Cool: Keep the PU round belt under pressure in the clam for 3 to 5 minutes until the weld cools and solidifies. Cooling time depends on the belt’s diameter and the ambient temperature.
5.Trim the Weld: Use a trimming knife to remove excess material from the joint. Ensure the joint is smooth, without bumps or burrs, to ensure smooth belt operation.
