Continuing with the upgrade to the Banggood engraving machine.
The 500w spindle comes with a speed controller in an enclosure with exposed terminals.
Here I make the controller safe by extending the cover, adding an earth connection, and also incorporating a 12v relay which is fed from the existing spindle power supply.
Now when the electronics send 12v to the relay, the controller will be switched on and the spindle will run at a speed set by the controller knob.
