US-Iran Tensions Surge: Pentagon Prepares for Sustained Military Action

Описание: Tensions between Washington and Tehran are reaching a boiling point.

According to a Reuters report citing U.S. officials, the Pentagon is preparing for the possibility of sustained, weeks-long military operations against Iran — if President Donald Trump gives the order.

Diplomatic efforts are still underway. U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to meet Iranian representatives in Geneva, with Oman acting as mediator. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has admitted that while Trump prefers a deal, securing one will be “very hard.”

Meanwhile, the U.S. military buildup in the Middle East is accelerating — with an additional aircraft carrier, fighter jets, guided-missile destroyers and thousands of troops deployed.

Speaking to troops in North Carolina, Trump openly suggested regime change in Iran “might be the best thing.” The White House maintains that all options remain on the table.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned it will target U.S. bases across the region if attacked. American military facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE and Turkey could be within missile range.

With diplomacy hanging by a thread, the coming days could decide whether tensions cool — or spiral into a wider Middle East conflict.
