Hathras Case: Allahabad HC pulls up DM & ADG; asks CBI to ensure safety of family

Hathras gang-rape case has now been heard by a bench in Allahabad High Court, which has pulled up the action of cremating the victim in the wee hours of the night. The bench also stated that the DM has failed to satisfy the court on cremation.
The High Court has also asked the investigating agencies should keep the probe completely confidential and should ensure security and safety of the victim's family. High Court has further asked that if the cremating decision was a collective one, then why there was no action taken against the DM in the same matter. ADG Law and Order, Prashant Kumar was also pulled up by the HCon his comment that the girl was not raped. ADG's statement came after looking at the post-mortem report. Another hearing is expected on November 2nd when the police are expected to give an explanation on their part.
