The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has issued a strong warning to the Bono Regional Minister, Joseph Addae Akwaboa, urging him to stay away from chieftaincy matters in Sampa. Addressing the Asanteman Council on December 15, 2025, Otumfuo accused the Minister of using political influence to interfere in a dispute after previously acting as a lawyer for a faction that lost its court cases.
