An original Minecraft Dream SMP song!! This is a song about the character of Sam Nook portrayed by Awesamdude! Just in case you don’t know who Sam Nook is, he’s based off the character Tom Nook from Animal Crossing and was helping Tommy build his hotel! But it’s been a couple months since we last saw Sam Nook and most viewers theorize that he’s simply been left to rot somewhere...So I decided to take that idea and run with it. Building the Innit Hotel was kind of the last thing Tommy did before he died and the trauma of dying is something I believe kind of made him grow up too quickly (alongside everything else that made c!Tommy grow up too quickly.) So not only did I want to give Sam Nook a final send off with this song, I wanted to give a glimpse into Tommy’s mindset as well. It’s sort of the feeling of when we loved something as kids but now that we’re all grown up we just can’t find it in us to enjoy it the same way.

The song has HUGE roots in animal crossing and it’s mostly because I’m such a fan I really couldn’t resist. I even used KK Slider’s guitar for the backing. I ADORE Animal Crossing and it was one of the things that really helped me get through this pandemic without going crazy. It’s also got a little bit of portal influences as well, I wanted to make it sound like an abandoned old computer was singing it and hopefully I hit the right vibes!
