Who is ready for another amazing Series from ByerlyStudios, I am really enjoying these larger projects that require not only a lot of homework and research because it’s something new to me but also actually artistry and work to build something like this.

This is going to be a longer series creating a diorama for an amazing customer and creator, yes I said creator. Curse&Conjure https://www.tiktok.com/@curseandconju...
They have commissioned me to design and create a Clay Sculpted Diorama. Of what you may ask??? The Largest (by mass) spider in the world, the Goliath Birdeater Tarantula!

Now I will be the first to say I new or this spider but just never really “knew it”, yes those are air quotes. Below are some amazing references and content I enjoyed will researching the beastie spider.

However if if you’ve read this far you might be invested in the series, or perhaps just this video. In the previous Part we sculpted a Goliath Tarantula body using @TheMonsterMakersInc Monsterclay (medium), then I molded the sculpture out of @smoothon Moldstar15 and then casted it with Smoothcast300 fastest bright white. In this video I will be detailing the entire spider with @winsornewton acrylics, @dalerrowney arcylic inks, and terrain flocking.

We also collected organic mater such as leaves, branches and acorns to dry and add to the base for the Goliath Birdeater Tarantula. In this video we’ll be bring the base to life with real dried dirt, moss flocking, E6000 spider webs, snake skin and much more.
