Decided that I want to somewhat step away from detailing content and document the progress on my 2nd gen Toyota Tacoma. In this video, I give a walk around of my current mods before the truck gets a new look. I have some fun things in store for this truck and you guys don't want to miss it!


By request: I have had tons of comments about the mirror swap mod.

It is a pretty simple mod.

You'll want to purchase 2010 4Runner mirrors. They are identical to the 2.5 gen Tacoma mirrors except they have a puddle light on the bottom in addition to the turn signal.

To wire the mirrors: locate the signal wires inside the mirror, run the wires through the door grommet into the cab. Then run wire through the firewall to the turn singal bulb wires and tap directly into them.

To wire puddle lights: I tied mine into the dome lights so that puddle lights would come on whenever I unlock the truck or open the doors. You will ground off the ground wire and connect the positive end to the positive wire for the dome light fuse underneath the dash.
